Don’t miss this great opportunity to view a special episode of the YouTube
video series entitled, “Looking For The Ghost of Rita Joe”.
Hosted by former Lyric Artistic Director, Gordon McCall, this series is
comprised of interviews and scene readings from the Canadian classic
play, The Ecstasy of Rita Joe by George Ryga. Gordon gathered the
original cast of the 1981 Winnipeg Prairie Theatre Exchange production of
the play, The Ecstasy of Rita Joe, 40 years later to hear. Their recollections
of what the play and production meant to them in 1981, what it means to
them now and how their life journeys were affected by it over the course of
40 years makes up the fascinating content of the series.
This episode features original cast members, Norman Brown, and Tom
Anniko and Swift Current first nation Elder, Sylvia Thorburn.
