2022-2023 PERFORMANCES

MUNSCH, munsch, Munsch!

Our annual presentation of Robert Munsch stories dramatized for children, was entitled MUNSCH, MUNSCH MUNSCH! This production was rescheduled to Dec. 8th-18th, 2022.

This 2022 winter’s production of course was a great time for the audiunces who came out. Featuring favorite local actors, and the following wonderful Robert Munsch stories – MOOSE, PAJAMA DAY, MUD PUDDLE, LOVE YOU FOREVER, THE PAPERBAG PRINCESS, BLACKFLIES, FINDING CHRISTMAS, SCHOOL RULES!

This film was brought to The Lyric Theatre. It was a fun filled night to watch this amazing and exciting documentary, there was also a panel for the audience to have an opportunity of some insight to the filming.

Burn Rubber, Dolly!

It is by local playwright Wendy Lockman and this is the WORLD PREMIERE of this play. Valedictorian, Lily, dreams of fleeing the farm to go to college; a near impossible feat for a young lady in the 1950s and is pushed into mother role to her rebellious sister Rose. What desperate lengths will Rose go to convince Lily to stay? This is a coming of age story about two charmingly resilient sisters in their journey through first loves, obstinate fathers and broken dreams.

This premiere run of this play ran April 8th-23rd

WRITE OUT LOUD

Between September and July, authors were representative of a variety of genres: memoir, poetry, children’s literature, young adult literature, and fiction.

Local, Provincal, National writers come to The Lyric Theatre to share their work and speak on their work with their audience. One Wednesday a Month 6:30pm.
